PRIDE, our parent group that supports all aspects of the Middle School (including financially) is looking for volunteers for the 2017-2018 school year. PRIDE needs a treasurer, concession stand manager and president for next year. Any volunteers could email Beth Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Many things that happen at the middle school would not happen without the support of PRIDE. Please consider volunteering!
Paws for the Cause - One Mile Family Fun Walk/Run July 15th 9:00 am-11:00 am
See camps and clinics link on website for registration forms for camps offered through MVCSD.
Student absences: Reminder: We always need a parent contact if students are absent, returning to school from an appointment, illness or other absences. Please call, email or send a note if your child is absent, arriving late or leaving early as soon as possible in the day. While we appreciate the student telling us they were at an appointment, we still require a parent contact. We also record the reason for every absence, so please provide specific information. Examples: Doctor appointment, dental appointment, out of town, etc. Just an appointment is not specific enough as some appointments like haircuts are not excused absences, so clarification is helpful. Please refer to page 2 and 3 of the Middle School Handbook for information regarding absences. Click here for the handbook.
Sports Physicals: If your child will be participating in Middle School sports (7th & 8th graders) please make sure they have a current Physical and Heads up Concussion form on file with the school. Physicals and Concussion forms are required before a student can start practice. Fall sports (Cross Country, Football and Volleyball) start within the first week of school. It's a good idea to get them scheduled in the summer to be sure. Physicals are good for a year past the date of the exam. Click here for a physical form and here for a concussion form. If your child hasn't had a sports physical and will need one, summer is a great time to get that done!
MVMS Magazine Sales - Fundraiser - We will still take online orders at anytime. The school continues to make money on those.

Activity Passes or cash are needed to get into all Middle school and high school athletic events. State sponsored post-regular season athletic events (i.e. playoff/tournament games) always require payment for admittance for ALL students. Activity passes are not accepted during post season games. All students without activity passes will need to pay cash at the gate of sporting events.
